Supported process profiles

We make the design tool. You make the chips. Put your process rules inside Fluidraft, get designs that arrive already checked against them — and the design-only enquiries that reach us.

The loop we are proposing. Your rules travel into the tool; screened designs travel out to you; design-only enquiries that reach us travel back.

Fluidraft is microfluidic CAD with a validated 0D/1D flow solver, design-for-manufacture checks and fab-ready export. We do not fabricate anything, and we never will. You do. That makes us complementary rather than competitive, and it suggests an arrangement that costs neither of us anything.

01 — The proposal

Your process rules, inside the tool

We add your shop to FABRIX as a supported process profile: your minimum feature size, minimum gap, depth range, aspect-ratio limit, corner radius, tolerances and materials, exactly as you publish them. A designer working in Fluidraft selects your process, and the tool checks their geometry against your rules while they are still drawing. When they export, the manufacturing package carries the layer table, the stated depths, the process assumptions and a manifest. In return, when somebody comes to us needing a chip made in your material, we send them to you.

02 — The case

Why this is worth your time

3 rounds

The quotes that cost you most are the ones needing three rounds of email before they are makeable — and those rounds are unbillable. A design that arrives already checked against your own rules skips most of them.

03 — The limits

What we are careful about

We do not certify anything, and we say so in the product. A FABRIX readiness grade is a check against the rules you published — not an approval, not a guarantee of manufacturability, and never presented as one. Your quotation is the authority, and the product tells the user that. We would rather under-claim and keep your trust than overstate and lose it the first time a part comes back wrong.

We also take no commission on your work, and we do not want exclusivity. Several shops can hold profiles for the same material; the designer chooses. We are not trying to become a marketplace — we sell design software, and your success in fabrication is simply what makes that software worth buying.

04 — Next

Four steps, no contract

  1. You send your design-rule sheet, or point us at where it is published.
  2. We build the profile and send it back for you to check. Nothing goes live until you have read it and agreed it is accurate.
  3. It ships in the next release, with your shop named.
  4. We agree a contact address for referrals, and leave it running.

Nothing here is exclusive or binding. If at any point you want the profile removed, say so and it goes in the next release.
