Subject to payment, Aliantico grants the licensee named in the licence file a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software, for the number of seats stated in the licence file, for internal design and research purposes. Modules are licensed individually and appear as entitlements in the same signed licence file.
The Software is sold as a subscription (monthly or annual). While the subscription is active, every current version of the Software runs fully, offline. If the subscription ends and is not renewed, the Software does not break and nothing is deleted: it returns to the free evaluation mode — every project still opens, and certain exports carry an evaluation watermark. Everything exported while licensed (including GDSII, STEP, STL, DXF, SVG, CSV and reports) remains the licensee's property and remains valid and usable indefinitely, with no dependency on Aliantico. Renewing and installing the new licence file restores full access immediately, offline.
Redistribution, resale, sublicensing, or hosting the Software as a service for third parties; removing licence, evaluation or attribution notices; sharing one licence file beyond its stated seats; using the evaluation mode for commercial production work.
Unlicensed installations run in evaluation mode (fully functional; certain exports carry an evaluation watermark) and may be used solely to evaluate the Software. Trial licences end on their stated date. Academic licences are for research and teaching at degree-granting institutions; commercial services performed with the Software require a standard licence.
The Software implements a laminar, single-phase 0D/1D hydraulic network model (steady-state, plus a distributed one-dimensional transient pressure model). It is not computational fluid dynamics, and its results are engineering estimates, not guarantees of the behaviour of any fabricated device. Manufacturability findings and process limits (FABRIX) are indicative and never manufacturer-certified. Generative-design candidates (ASSAYFORGE) are proposals verified against the same hydraulic model, not against reality. Droplet predictions (DROPLET LAB) come from published correlations that state their validity domain; outside that domain the Software refuses to predict, and inside it the numbers remain estimates. The Software's outputs do not constitute, and must not be relied upon as, evidence of regulatory compliance of any device (including medical or diagnostic devices). The licensee is responsible for experimental validation of any design before use in production, clinical, or safety-relevant contexts.
An active subscription includes e-mail support at fluidraft@aliantico.com (reasonable-effort response within two business days) and every Software update released during the term.
The Software is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aliantico's aggregate liability under this agreement is limited to the licence fees paid by the licensee in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in this agreement excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including any non-waivable rights of consumers in their country of residence.
The Software performs no telemetry, no activation calls and no phone-home; licences are verified offline against a signed file. The optional AI assistant, if used, sends the current design context to Aliantico's AI gateway solely to answer the request, metered per licence key and not used for any other purpose. Purchases are processed by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in the licensee's country of residence.
